Travels

An avid advocate for cultural exchange, my passion for exploring cultures and ideas has led me to work for prestigious cultural institutions, such as the American Academy in Rome and Art Asia Pacific magazine, along with several study abroad programs on representing culture in South Africa and United Kingdom. It has also led me to personally take on a travel project, documented in my photography projects.

Turning away from the dark room of the many art history classes of my past, I began looking at established and historical travel routes that emphasized the importance of travel for education growth. Culling information from various sources, such as the Grand Tour, World Monuments Fund, Sites of Conscience, and art fairs to name a few, I created travel itineraries to experience artwork, architecture, and performances in the location of origin to grasp cultural underpinnings that go unnoticed within printed material.
